We offer a range of different medical check ups (physical examinations).
Adult physicals can be done on any weekday and school physicals on weekdays or Saturday mornings. You can contact the Physical Examination department with any questions or to make an appointment. Some tests require a 12 hour fast beforehand. Please check with the staff when you make your appointment.
To maintain confidentiality the results of all health checks including school physicals are normally sent to your home address unless otherwise specifically requested.
PRIVATE PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS (WELL WOMAN/WELL MAN SCREENING)
Health screening tests are performed to look for diseases before you have symptoms. Conditions that are picked up early are usually easier to treat. All of our examinations include a full medical interview conducted by a doctor in native level English as well as comprehensive blood tests plus further tests that are individualised to your needs. We offer additional optional items at a discounted cost, such as gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, stress ECG, breast ultrasound.
For more details or to make an appointment, call 03-3432-6114. You should fast for 12 hours prior to the examination – no food or drink except for water. You will receive the completed report in 10 days to 3 weeks’ time, depending on your attending doctor.
The doctor who performs your physical can help with simple questions and concerns that arise by telephone or email follow up. For more complicated questions or serious conditions, we suggest that you arrange a further appointment with the doctor who performed your physical. Sometimes we may suggest referral directly to an English speaking specialist.
