Available Vaccines

Supplies of vaccines are sometimes limited. If you are coming for a particular vaccine, we recommend you contact our nurse (nurse@tmsc.jp) to confirm the vaccine is available.

AVAILABLE VACCINES

A physician's consultation is needed for children aged less than 4 years for any vaccination and for patients aged more than 4 years who are having the first vaccination of a series. Subsequent vaccinations in the series can be given by a nurse.

Children

Schedules for childrens vaccines vary somewhat between countries although the difference is mostly about timing. We can offer the schedule that fits with your country's needs. For those patients who have no preference we recommend the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) schedule:

  • Schedule for Persons Birth through 18 years
  • Catch-up Schedule
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • UK
  • France
  • Germany
  • Other European Countries

  • Vaccines for children under 4 years of age must be given by a Doctor

    Travel

The need for particular vaccines depends on a number of factors including travel area, duration of stay, previous vaccination history. We advise a consultation with a Doctor to discuss your needs. Information is also available at http://www.cdc.gov/travel

The Pharmacy carries a stock of malaria prevention medications which require a prescription.

We carry stocks of vaccines for almost all travel requirements. However Yellow fever vaccination is not available and can only administered at a Government immunization center. http://www.tmsc.jp/yel.pdf
