Our four full time physicians are available for consultations in general and family medicine including pediatrics as well as their own specialties which include internal medicine, gastroenterology and outpatient surgery.

  Peter Seez MD, Ph.D(Germany/Japan)
Dr. Seez is owner and senior partner of the Clinic. He graduated from Giessen University in Germany. In Japan he acquired the Japanese Medical License in Japanese and received a Ph.D. after postgraduate studies at Tokyo University. He has specialized in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology / Endoscopy at Wurzburg University; at the Clinic he has extended his interests to dermatology and pediatrics. Dr. Seez is guest professor for General Medicine at Juntendo University, Tokyo. He speaks German, and fluent English, French, and Japanese.

  Nicola Oduro-Yeboah MB BS (London)
Clinic owner. Graduated from the University of London (University College Hospital).
She has undergone a general practice rotation involving various specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics and accident and emergency care.
She joined the clinic in 2003. Dr. Yeboah is fluent in German. She is presently medical director of the Clinic.

  Tom N. Lomax MB BS (London), BSc., DRCOG ,MRCGP
Clinic owner. A family doctor with a special interest in minor surgery. Graduated from London university (Royal Free) in 2000 and worked in Surgery and Emergency Medicine for five years in St Georges Hospital, London.
Subsequently trained in Family Practice, gaining experience in Psychiatry and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and consults in English or Japanese.

  John H.T. Marshall MB BS(London), MRCP(UK)
Graduated from the University of London (Guy's Hospital) and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians. He specialises in internal medicine.

Member of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Society of Cancer Research and Japan Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr.Sakamoto is fluent in English and Spanish.

  Claudine Bliah MD (France)
Graduated from Aix-Marseille School of Medicine (France).
Certified specialist in Medical Gynecology.
Member of the French `Ordre des Medecins'.
She joined the Clinic in 1996 and also has outpatient consultations at Aiiku Hospital. Tokyo. She is fluent in French, English and Japanese.

  Kazuhisa Takahashi – spinal specialist
Graduated from School of Medicine, Chiba University in 1976. He studied orthopedic biomechanics at Mayo Clinic from 1980 through 1981 as a research fellow. He was granted Ph.D. degree in 1982 from Chiba University and was the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine, Chiba University until March of 2016. His specialty is spinal orthopedics, with a particular interest in low back pain.

  Takashi Tarui – hand specialist
Graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1984. Dr Tarui is the director of the Orthopedic surgery department of Toshiba General Hospital. He is a member of the Japanese Society for Surgery of the Hand and has a special interest in trauma and peripheral nerve disorders of the hand.

  Hiroshi Iwaso – knee and shoulder specialist
Graduated from Tohoku University in 1986. Dr Iwaso has performed over 1300 shoulder joint surgeries and over 500 knee surgeries, with a focus on ACL reconstructive surgery. He has extensive experience in sports trauma and is the exclusive doctor for a J-league soccer team and a Japanese American Football league.

  Hiroyuki Sugaya – shoulder and elbow specialist
Chairman and director of the shoulder and elbow center at Funabashi Orthopedic Hospital; professor of orthopedics (Tokyo Women’s Medical University Hospital); Honorary Instructor of Anatomy (University of Hawaii); chair of the International Committee (Japan Shoulder Society); editor and reviewer for several international orthopedic journals. Dr Sugaya has published over 200 Japanese and 50 English articles and lectures at academic meetings around the world. His patients include national level athletes.

  Yoh Kumano – spinal specialist
Graduated from The University of Tokyo in 1995 and Niigata University in 2001. He works as director of Orthopedic Surgery in Sagamihara National Hospital and Sangubashi Spine Surgery Hospital. Dr Kumano has studied spinal surgery in Bordeaux University, France; the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, UK and Stanford University, US. He is a member of the Japanese Orthopedic Association, the Japan Society for the Study of Surgical Technique for Spine and Spinal Nerves and the Japanese Society for Spinal Surgery and Related Research.

  Yoko Miura – knee and hip specialist; pediatric orthopedics
Graduated from Chiba university school of medicine in 1998. Dr Miura works at Funabashi orthopedic hospital where she performs 300-400 joint replacement surgeries a year using minimally invasive techniques. She is a member of the Japan Orthopedic Association.

  Tatsuya Takahashi – knee, foot and ankle specialist
Graduated from the University of Tsukuba in 2008. Dr Takahashi’s clinical interests include knee, foot and ankle and arthroscopic surgery as well as sports medicine. He is a member of the Japanese Orthopedic Association; Japan Society for Surgery of the Foot; Japan Society of Knee, Arthroscopic and Sports Medicine and the Japan Society of Clinical Sports Medicine.

  Nobuhiko Sumiyoshi – family doctor and sports physician
Graduated from Kagoshima University in 2004 and subsequently completed his training in the US. Dr Sumiyoshi has practiced medicine both in Japan as well as internationally. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Southern Illinois University and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma, and has worked at various hospitals across Japan, including the US Navy hospital in Okinawa. In addition to family practice and sports medicine, he is also specialized in orthopedic surgery.

  Shina Horiuchi, MD, PhD
Graduated and received her doctorate from Sapporo Medical University. After ten years as a practicing physician in hospitals in Japan, she worked as a Research Associate (gastrointestinal cancers) at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in San Diego, California. She received certification from the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) in 2008 and since returning to Japan, has provided bilingual services as a gastroenterologist to patients from various countries in Tokyo. She has a subspecialist interest in endoscopy, having performed over 10,000 gastroscopies as well as having trained in colonoscopy. Fluent in Japanese and English, she has authored several white papers in her field and translated two books.

Hiroko Fujio ,M.D
Graduated from Tokyo Womens’ Medical University. Internship in Japan and Germany(Baden Württenberg).
Studied general psychiatry at Tokyo Womens’ Medical University, general psychiatry and neurology at Brain Center of Würzburg University(Bayern,Germany), and geriatric and adolescence psychiatry at Osaka University.
Field of Interest: Depression (adult, adolescents, and in children), bipolar disorders and other mental problems of daily life. Combined psychotherapeutic and medical treatments will be offered.

Kazuo Matsushita, M.D., Ph.D
Received undergraduate and postgraduate training in urology at Keio University Hospital in Tokyo, and received M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Keio University School of Medicine.
Studied renal transplantation at Hôpital Necker in Paris.
Retired in 2005 from full-time professor of Urology at Tokyo Hospital/Tokai University School of Medicine where he is now part-time Professor
Fields of interest: Urologic oncology, benign prostatic hyperplasia, stone disease.
